Building Relationships with God...and with each other.

David Katsma  |  Founding Pastor

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where I was introduced to the faith from a very early age.  Growing up in the church, I had every opportunity to grow spiritually. but it wasn’t until I was in my early twenties that faith in Christ became both real and personal for me.
Working in construction and in dairy farming for the first part of my adult life, God kept nudging me toward ministry.  In my early thirties, while married to Mari Lynne and raising a family, I went back to school to earn my degree and began working at Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam. It was five years before being sent out to start a new church in the Horicon area.  My experience in construction and farming has helped to shape me in my ministry to people uniquely by enabling me to connect with people in rural Wisconsin in a very real way.
My desire is to help people to see their value in Christ and to encourage them to develop and grow in their understanding and love for Christ;  to use the gifts and talents God has given them and to equip people in God’s work here in the greater Horicon area.
I am married to a great wife, Mari Lynne, and we have 6 kids - most of whom are adults.  When I have time I enjoy being outdoors walking with my wife, kayaking and maintaining our home using the construction skills I learned as a young man.

God bless you and hope to get to know you.
