About ALPHA

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe and everyone is welcome. It runs online, in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it! No two Alphas look the same, but they generally have three key things in common: hospitality, a talk and good conversation.

Connect:

Connecting with others is important; friends gathered around the kitchen table, meeting for coffee or catching up online. It’s no different at Alpha.

All sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships.

Watch:

The Alpha talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Each one is around thirty minutes long and given by a speaker live or played as a video. They explore important issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

Discuss:

One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas in small groups. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t share (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

How to Connect:

It's pretty simple.  To get more information or to find out when the next ALPHA series is being offered, just contact Dave Katsma, pastordlk@gmail.com and put ALPHA in the subject line and ask any questions that you have about attending or participating in an ALPHA group.

Currently we are setting up a series for the late summer or early fall and would be glad to pass on the actual start date, location and time when it all finalizes.

Please check out the rest of the MarshView Ministries website and if there are other things on our site or questions that you have, feel free to contact Pastor Dave or stop by for a visit on a Sunday.

The church is a great place that is relaxing, open and welcoming.  It is a place where people feel comfortable exploring faith or growing in their faith.

Thanks for your interest and please join us soon.
